Ebony "Khavoni" Roberts has been in the cosmetology industry for over 25 years. Perfecting her gift as a highly sought after technician, she prides herself in educating and establishing genuine relationships with her clientele and students.

Ebony began working in the cosmetology field long before she went to school to obtain her license. As a result, she began to create wonderful masterpieces with hair, and started to make a brand for herself. Being able to tell a story using this gift and talent, she credits God for giving her the ability to create one-of-a-kind pieces. She has participated in several hair shows, worked on the sets of film and commercial shoots, obtained many certifications in the industry. Her latest addition was becoming a certified Trichologist graduating in the top 5 of her class.

Her love to give back to others in the industry has grown over the years, and now Ebony has begun to coach. Since 2011 she has put together a series of classes to help with continuing education for industry professionals, a “Coaching Essentials” workshop for future cosmetologist, “How to maintain a healthy Mane” workshop for models and her clientele. She began platform work and education in 2017 for Vitale Pro and Kinks Curls & Coils professional natural line. “I want my love and passion for what I do to inspire others to greatness. It has not ALL been easy, but it has ALL been worth it! When I say I love what I do, I mean just that! From being a salon owner, working with beautiful brides on their special day, cancer survivors, working on the set of films, you name it, I enjoy meeting, learning, sharing, creating unforgettable memories with everyone that my path crosses. Over the last decade, I have helped cancer survivors and those still battling the disease cope with the loss of their “mane” by creating crowns for them. What that does for people is simply indescribable. This is what makes me push the limits to give all I can to an ever evolving industry. This is just one of many ways I have been blessed to be a blessing.”

2017 was the year Ebony and Neesha really decided that what they have learned over this 50 plus combined years in this industry, was worth pouring into other upcoming industry professionals, students, salon owner's and the communities they serve by opening NK Artistry Professional Salon located in Tinley Park, IL. In 2020, Ebony received he certifications in Trichology (A trichologist is a hair loss and scalp care para-professional). "Becoming a Trichologist has been a journey, but time well spent investing in my knowledge of the services I provide. Digging deeper for the resolve. This helps me to ensure that I am helping to maintain my salon guests hair and scalp integrity when servicing them". In 2021 she also became a Certified Hair Integration Master Stylist though Bellami Pro.
